Kadena - question about spotting locations

Hi all,

I am looking for the locations around Kadena AFB that are suitable for picture taking. I once took some landingshots from the beachside during a short visit, but I was wondering if there are other spots.

Never been there myself, but I do know there is a building with a dedicated viewing terrace:

Try Michi-no-Eki building. Good for spotting after 5 pm, due to backlit. 400 is ok for big ones, but not enough for fighters, they usually prefer 05L-23R for t/offs & landings. As for landing shots - plenty of spots near Sunabe. Ladder needed to catch taxiing, Opposite side is the same, check G/maps, good shots in the morning & after 4 pm.
