On 25 April 2024, an unknown insurgent set fire
to a Kamov Ka-32 civil firefighting helicopter of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM).
Shortly after, the fire was spotted and was put out by airport firefighters.
At 03:09 Moscow time, two rescue vehicles from Ostafyevo Airport were on the scene;
the fire area was approximately 30 square meters, a source told RBC.
The Kamov Ka-32 is a civilian helicopter used by EMERCOM of Russia
for the purposes of firefighting and rescue.
According to the Russian Telegram channel "Baza", a civil investigation is underway.
It is alleged that the act of arson was carried out under the control of the Ukrainian Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR).

On the night of April 26, 2024, a multi-purpose enemy Ka-32 helicopter was destroyed at the Ostafyevo airfield of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the city of Moscow.
The airfield belongs to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and is operated jointly with the Gazpromavia enterprise, which is part of the structure of Gazprom OJSC.
The destroyed piece of aviation equipment was used by the aggressor state in the interests of the Moscow aviation center, in particular, to support the operations of the Russian occupation army.
