Paris-Le Bourget 2024

Post by PH-AVR »

Hi All,
I made a brief stop at LBG and walked from the museum along the Avenue de l"Europe all the way to the roundabout near Campanile. It has been a few years since I had been here but was so disappointed that almost all the nooks and crannies along the road (except 1) have been blocked by fences like this:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/gulfstrea ... 317592115/
Impossible to see through except a few millimeter here or there. It has become incredible hard to log down regs, let alone photograph. Many interesting bizjets that were supposed to be on the ground didn't make it into the book so below is only a fraction that was around. Didn't visit the museum but hope from there one still has some views over part of the airport ramps.
cheers
Anton

Hi Anton,

Indeed sad to read, LBG was a superb airfield for logging and photographing ! But I haven't been there for more then 20 years now....

Hi Anton,

It is a shame to hear about the fences going up. Not been there for quite a few years, but the AC Hotel half way along the avenue has a rooftop terrace which, so long as you were eating there, used be accessible to non-residents (I presume this is still the case) and has views across some of the ramps.

Would be interested to know if it is still possible to view from there, for future reference.

Regards, Steve

Hi Steve,
I did see the AC hotel but didn't know there was a rooftop terrace so will check that out another time. More or less in front of that AC hotel there is some new park that has some views over the ramps (though normal fences so ==censored== photos) but as various workers were building a large stage as if there was some concert soon (or maybe D Day remembrance?) I couldn't check it out properly with all the workers carrying stage materials.
cheers

According to ADSB, yesterday the ‘904’ of the Pakistan Army, a B350, arrived.

Not sure if it is visible from outside, but there should be plenty of spotters around this sunday!

Qatari's were expected in the UK next weekend, staging in France, or perhaps they fly along in the 'Quatorze Juillet' formation before flying on? (Just speculation, I know nothing...)

Interesting! Did you perhaps catch the hex-code? It's probably only vissable under civilian (no mil filter), as I didn't see it arriving.

Wrong guess.

France made a deal with Qatar, Qatar provides security personnel and vehicles.

Noted outside at Dassault today;

5N-FGU Falcon 7X (ex) Nigerian AF (serial taped off, engines missing)
1x Falcon xx Djibouti Gvmt (blue/green flag in tail)

The Djibouti one was only seen (tail) from the cemetary in Bonneuil-en-France. No other vantage point found. Anyone for its serial?

Later noted on adsb was Let410 02 from Lithuanian AF.
