12 Volkel vipers diverted to Leeuwarden

This afternoon (1540lcl) 12 Volkel vipers diverted to Leeuwarden due to bad weather conditions (fog?) at Volkel. Some of them were still parked at "zuid 1"around 1700lcl.

Fog and an unservicable ILS, only Tacan was available.

Both for full stop.

Aviano F-16's so probaly nightstoppers.
Assume makes an ASS of U and ME.

When I read correctly, we are talking about F-16C/D block 42's from Aviano's 555 Fighter Squadron...

Just got info that it are two duals 90-.777 & ..-.800 (sorry don't have access to the databases here). Both are parked in shelters.

So these should be:

90-0777/AV F-16DG-40-CF 555th FS
90-0800/AV F-16DG-40-CF 555th FS

By the way, you could search on code "AV" in our database without members sign in.

Well, not a great help in this case as it only shows the first 20 hits not including the two birds in question...

The 777 is parked in the shelter close to Marssum "hill".

Also present today were 3 Puma's XW212, XW213 & ZA938. Only the 212 had tiger mks. They left heading north (Norway i guess).

True, but the databases-sections are blocked by the internetfilter of my boss......
