KLM - Summer 2008:

- Early KL plans show a 2nd B747-400M frequency on AMS-Beijing-AMS no doubt related to the Olympic Games in China this summer.

- KL899 dep. AMS 16.00 arr. 07.20 PEK = NEW
- KL890 dep. PEK 09.15 arr. 13.15 AMS = NEW

- KL897 dep. AMS 18.45 arr. 10.05 PEK
- KL898 dep. PEK 11.50 arr. 15.55 AMS

KLM will have 2x B777-300ER in Summer 2008:

- The advance Summer 2008 timetable currently shows the KLM B777-300ER to operate AMS-GRU-AMS, this may be combined with AMS-DXB-AMS for a daily service with the 2x available B777-300ER aircraft.

Route AMS-GRU-AMS-DXB-AMS-GRU-AMS etc....

KLM - Summer 2008 - edition June 2007:

KLM plans the following long-haul changes for Summer 2008:

- Kilimanjaro/Dar es Salaam will see B777-200ER aircraft
- Osaka will be operated with B777-300ER
- Sao Paolo will be operated with B777-300ER
- Shanghai frequency up from 10x week to 12x week = B747-400M
- Toronto frequency up from 12x week to 13x week = B747/B777

NW/KLM are continuing to adapt their scheduling plans for the AMS-NYC routes for Summer 2008:

At this moment NW is foreseen to operate AMS-EWR 2x daily with B757-200 from 8 April 2008:

- NW 63 dep. AMS 10.15 arr. EWR 12.40 B757 daily
- NW 65 dep. AMS 15.30 arr. EWR 17.55 B757 daily

- NW 64 dep. EWR 16.45 arr. AMS 06.10 B757 daily
- NW 66 dep. EWR 20.15 arr. AMS 09.40 B757 daily

This would raise the number of NW B757 operations at AMS to 5x daily.

KLM will concentrate on JFK with 3x daily flights 2x A330-200 & 1x B747M

British Airways - Summer 2008:

Starting with the Summer timetable 2008, BA will operate its LHR-AMS-LHR flights from Terminal 5. Due to the improved flight connections of T5 BA will expand aircraft capacity on the route with a daily B767-300 service. The frequency will remain at 8x daily flights.

- LHR dep. 15.55 BA440 arr. AMS 18.05 B767-300 = daily
- AMS dep. 19.05 BA441 arr. LHR 19.20 B767-300 = daily

In another thread it was mentioned already (I think about the winter timetable), but this is the first ´evidence´ I see it might actually be true.
And indeed, it would be great to finally see some more A340s on SPL!

KLM to open new Swedish link to Linkoping in Summer 2008:

SkyTeam alliance member KLM is to open a link between Amsterdam and the Swedish city of Linkoping next year.

The carrier is to start the twice-daily service on 30 March.

It claims that it will be the first large international carrier to serve a destination in Sweden which is not one of the primary cities. Linkoping is about 170km southwest of Stockholm.

KLM will use Fokker 70 twin-jets on the route. Air France-KLM already operates to Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden.

After reading this A.net topic I can only find that the "might" downgrade... AMS as destination is only mentioned once in the whole topic...

Delta Air Lines has now confirmed that it will operate B757-200W on the route JFK-AMS-JFK starting June 2008;

AMS-NYC with B757 in June 2008 :
