All of this was seen outside the airfield from various positions. But you can read all the aircraft on the ramp late afternoon with no heatwaves driving along the dirt road (and viaduct) on the north side of the base...
The CL-215's can all be read from the nort-western end of the base, just north of the shopping mall.
Are you sure about it? Because the Bo105 you are talking about is an instructional one.
The one we saw was an preserved one from the Guardia Civil and was standing in front of their building
Or has the instructional one become a preserved one with a fake serial?
it stands in the EMOOS as HU.15-00/HGC-OO Bo105LH S.451 HR.15-17,preserved, with Guardia Civil. So i trust in that. Was there last year, but missed all the preserved stuff.
Great place Torrejon - great log. On 10th March this year, some time ago I know, I noted 6 x grey F-4s and 7 x camouflaged F-4s at point 40.29'35.80"N 03.26'02.41"W amongst the buildings from the outside on a road to the NE.
There was also one on the north west ramp preserved C.12-36 :122-18 and one on the pole C.12-02 which you can see by driving right towards the main gate. Did not see a Bo105.
Of these on base in store I read C.12-20, C.12-18, C.12-16, C.12-39 (12-31) and grey CR.12-45. I can not seem to find out what the others were. It appears that a number of these have now gone, is that correct?
F-4C C.12-02/12-01 pres. near main gate
RF-4C CR.12-55/12-64 preserved behind EF-18 lines
F-86F C.5-98 preserved on pole near EF-18 lines
T-33A 52-9975 dumped near runway
