freq 290.975

Post by wapo84 »

Does anybody know where this freq is used for? Heared a BAF F16 on it when returning from AAR from the JOJO track.

It is the Boomer freq of QUID66.
Tanker control on Lippe 371.500.
After Lippe to Belga 299.900

Greetings

Arno

Edit: did you hear any music on this freq?
One BAF pilot was complaining about music and requested on secundary freq. (299.600)
QUID66 didn't hear any, neither did I

I haven't hear the background music. An extra question...
Is it a fixed freq for the boomer? Or is it possible that next time another freq for the boomer is used in the jojo track?

Boomer freq depends on the tanker in the track. Most tanker operators have their own boom freq but these don't change that much. Tanker control is a fixed freq dedicated for the track.

Tanker track is still operational for the Belgian F-16's tonight. BAF451 was also heard. Same freq's.

A little bit  Quid is the callsign of the 100th ARW from Mildenhall and they have mostly the same freq. But when a French Tanker is active in the Jojo track then there should be another freq in use.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Tanker control is a fixed freq dedicated for the track.
For JOJO-track normaly 371.500, but last week it was 336.900.

Boomerfreqs can vary but there are some which are often used.
299.600
264.925
264.825
264.125
362.100
and 297.750 used almost daily by ESSO75 / 76 to refuel NATO E-3's

Greetings
