-edit, at work and totally forgot this forum is english only, sorry mod :)

When looking on google maps it appears that everything outside has been removed.

Myself i visited the museum in `93 (long time ago, i know) but then there were around 30-50 planes outside.

Are those still there? (i`m planning to go in `08, and since i only filmed in `93 this time i was planning to photograph all the planes outside.

On the last pic you can see the little runway bit, in `93, An Navy A7 was parked there, the last one to go out of service.

Hello,

from the Museum website:
""The Flight Line Bus Tour takes you on a free 20-minute tour of the approximately 50 aircraft displayed on the flight line behind our Restoration hangar. Tour tickets are free and should be picked up at the Information Desk. The bus has a capacity for 30 people.""

I cant say it exactly because the outside terrain was closed two days after the Homecoming Show!
But I think you cant get every Aircraft from a Bus full with Kids

For me it was an very very nice day in there. I had seen so many "new" old Aircrafts... and that for free! You can also sit down in an Blue Angel F-4 Cockpit. 8)
Try the IMAX Cinema!

Try to write the museum in advance and you might get permission to walk around the outside aircraft. That is what we did back in 2000 and is sure worth the effort. It is under supervision though and we didn´t have a lot of time, but enough to take pictures of each and every plane.

When i was there, the aircraft were all parked around the museum, so you could walk, around (and in.. since the entrance door to a P3 was open), and on the parked aircraft.

I guess they put them in an enclosed area because of all the people messing with doors/quick releases/maintenance bays..and such.

-edit

Eglin Armaments museum is cool to :) 1st time i ever stood in the wheel bay of a B-52 and a SR-71.

Also there is a nice mini museum on the way from Pensacola to New Orleans, at Mobile Alabama`s USS Alabama memorial park.

Couple planes including a A-12, a very nice F-105, a Blue angels F-18, a Submarine, and the USS Alabama :P
