Post by Stefan »

Sorry if this has been posted before..

From: http://www.flottille11f.org/spotters.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A « spotter’s day » is scheduled during the 2008 NATO Tiger Meet organized at NAS Landivisiau. This day will be Friday, the 27th of June 2008.

Details haven’t been defined precisely yet but be sure we will provide the spotters with good shooting conditions. Price will be approx. 20 euros.

To pre-book, please send us an e-mail with your name, country and valid e-mail to : spottersoceantiger@hotmail.com
Hence, you will be informed of the latest informations.

In case the demand exceeds the offer, we shall apply the rule of “1st come, 1st served”.

A list of those who have pre-booked will be viewable on this webpage and will be updated on a weekly basis.

Hope to see you on this special day!

I send tree weeks ago a e-mail to that adres that is mentioned in the announcement, but I got still no reply on it. Are there more people who's got this problem. I hope they don't organise everything with the famous 'Franse slag'.

Same here; mailed them a few weeks ago but so far no reply. On their site they say they will publish a list which is updated every week, but apparently not yet....

Hi all,

It is quite a lot of work to acknowledge every individual request. I can image that they will do this in due time. As stated on their website:

'A list of those who have pre-booked will be viewable on this webpage and will be updated on a weekly basis'

Don't worry, give them time to process all the requests...

No wonder it took them so long: over 800 people already subscribed (even from Australia, Japan and the USA)!

Tiger Meet/Airshow/Spottersday Landivisiau 08

Post by dverhees »

Note to all interested in our Tiger Meets. Flotille 11 volunteered to host NTM'08 at "the last minute" when 321SQ, Lechfeld had to cancel. This is a one-of-a-kind oportunity for them since the Carrier Charles de Gaulle is in drydock. The normal 11F schedule is tied to that of the CDG, the unpredictability of which in the past (and in the future) has precluded their possibility to host a Tiger Meet. The NTAssociation is really appreciative of this effort, and if the success of the Initial Planning Conference is any gauge, it will be another superb meet.

I mention all the above to remind our fans and faithful followers that it has not been easy for 11F (or indeed, the whole French Navy) bearing in mind their lack of experience in hosting such a large event BASED ON LAND. So kindly be gracious enough to "cut them slack" when either trying to find out all the good details or when signing up. Again, they are not at all used to all this activity suddenly thrust upon them. In the end, don't worry, it'll be a good show, after all, the Tigers are there!! Thanks, and see you there.

Maybe they can do a little talk with Kleine Brogel, there is a lot of experience to organise a spottersday. But I'm shure that the French will do there best to make it a day that we will not forget.
Keep the Tigers coming en good luck.

I wrote to the French Navy but till now I have no reply from them about my request if there will be also a Media Day during the Tiger Meet.

Someone know if there will be a Media Day?

And if yes, can provide me a valid e-mail to send my request.

Thanks in advance to all

Best Regards

"????????? When the list will be updated? In 2009 ?????????????"
Zerofive, this is a huge list from a few weeks ago, with almost 1000 persons on it i believe.....
For the boys (and girls) from 11F, organising a TM is an really big thing.
I am happy they are willing to organise a spottersday this great.
So my advice is to have patience, and wait for further information when they have the time to share it with us....!
