(notes: as Tornados were a rather rare breed for me so far this year and with flying activity at German airbases beeing very reduced due to limited working hours of fire brigades, I used the announced re-deployment of 12 based Tornados from Deci back to Nörvenich for a short day-trip to my former home-base. Indeed, just a few minuted after arriving there the beginning of quite intensive approach and landing training took place with the first three Tornados returning back to Nörvenich after a night-stop at Wahn airbase. After this, no less than nine further Tornados followed under white-blue skies, included the specially decorated airframe 43+65 celebrating 50 years JaboG 31. A very nice and welcome addition was the activity of two detached UH-1s, remembering of better times at Nörvenich)
A third French AF Alpha jet remained at Norvenich with damage sustained as a result of flying through a hailstorm, and a EMB-121AA was due into Norvenich on 04 July with personell to assess the damane to said Alpha Jet.
