In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Some chinese ship grounded last week. To get the ship free from the sea-bottom a lot of material was shipped in and a lot more spectators joined to see the big show. Also there were some aircraft watching and working at the scene.

1 First picture is from the ship, just to show how BIG / HUGE it is.

2 Chopper is being use as air-taxi.

4 Just look at the size of the cranes.

5 The passenger is holding the line.

6 PH-LIN was making photos from the air.

7 Dutch coastguard made 3 low-passes in front of the public. Thank you guys.

A chinook also made a flyby from a distance, sadly didn't got a good shot at it.

Great report, awesome size comparison between ship and helo. I like the NHX in front of the cables a lot.

The size of the cranes and ship are insane. The NHX looks like a wasp compared to the cranes.

Amazing that this thing can keep afloat. :shock:

In fact, it couldn't :wink:

Great shots Nusty. How many mm's did you use to get NHX so full-frame? Or is it very heavily cropped?

To me the shot of NHX in front of the cables is an absolutely stunning picture. But the seemingly air-to-airs of the Coastguard are beauties as well!

The exif is showing one second between shot 7 and 8 !! Can you imagine how hard the aircraft was banking.

I used the 100-400 in combination with 1.4 TC @ 560mm and then had to crop it. Actual picture is 1280 or something, but I scaled i t down to 1024.

You will be impressed by the manoeuvrability of the Do-228 when actually flying it.
