Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Yep 8) (7 May)

Image
First wave lining up.

Image
Ready.

Image
Gone is morning quiet.

Image
There's actually enough wing left to generate lift. Amazing.

Image
Short visual circuits.

Image
Smelling burnt rubber all day.

Image
Perfect light on this beauty.

Image
Touching before the landing threshold after a two-hour mission.

Hope to be back with more F-4s in a few days.

Look at these pictures i`m thinking about going there in about 2 weeks depending on the weather.

Are there any things i should pay attention to when going there?, hows the light?, how is the MP?..etc

Also is the field like Hopsten?, which was just like airbase with a spottenspot build around it :)

And.. those Skyhawks, are they visitors?, based there?, whats their story?.

Hi Erik,

Great pictures. The white A4 looks great. I can still smell the rubber. I'll try to post a few of mine later...

By the way, is the car still going strong?

Regards,

Richard

Thanks all for the kind words:
@ Flanker: you bet. 8)
@ Spook: look around a bit on this and the Spotting Europe forum, and our airfield guide if you have access. Expect to be told photography is prohibited at least once a day if you stay all day, keep low profile then for a few hours. Otherwise quite a lot like Hopsten, only the middle of the runway is to be avoided: big 'No photography' shield and more military terrain.
@ Marduk: yes, it's a sturdy one! Still smelling it too, thx 4 the company.

Is it not target towing and playing "the enemy"?

I thought they were used to do simulate attacks at navy ships just like the "Dutch" L-39's of SkyLine aviation do.

After all, it are great aircraft.

Nice set of pics, Erik!
