Here are my pictures from Meiringen that I took on 2 April. The weather was not so good as the day before in Payerne. It rained heavy untill noon and it was freezing cold. We were not more at the Swiss plateau, but in the alps and we could easily feel that.
We were in a hotel almost on the base. We were in the highest chambers and the take offs from the first wave of the day we took from our hotel rooms
The taxiway was about 100m from our hotel, the runway 150m. This is just crazy.Meiringen AB is a spottersparadise. No fences, many spottersplaces, mountains in the background, there is even a visitors terras. After asking the guards what we could expect that day of flying activity our day could start. There was a WK with hornets, so they flew from the cavernes and crossed the road to go to the runway. In the afternoon there was a swap of aircraft with Payerne.
