On 28Jun KLM 777-200 PH-BQG brought me to Narita and after a 10hr30min flight I arrived in a Japanese monsoon next morning (29Jun). It was raining so hard the visibilty was very poor.

Then it was on to the Narita Airport Rest House for a sleep, very short walk (5min) of Terminal 1 but in this weather enough to get very wet..Did not bother to spot as sleep was more important. Some rooms face the aprons around terminal 1 but the glass in the windows is separated by a 30cm column of air..not that good for spotting with the binoculars..
After a few hours sleep it was off to terminal 2 where Qantas 767-300 VH-OGO brought me to Cairns, another 7hr5min-flight.
