The Do228 was a nice surprise, it came in for a short stop here. After this we took off in PH-HZI B737-800 from Transavia which brought us to Crete as “HV909”.

As we arrived late in the evening I couldn’t make the C21. The F-5’s were taken from other reports.

Monday 28 July 2008 Timbaki.
On this monday we visited the beautiful airbase from Timbaki which is on the south coast. Apart from a lot of activities at this base non aircraft were seen.
Tuesday 29 July 2008 Rethymnon.

Lying on the swimming pool from the hotel we were surprised by this huge chopper which was taking water in the bucket several times for fire-fighting activities on the island.
Wednesday 30 July 2008 Knosos.

Again a nice surprise by this two choppers which were busy with fire-fighting activities in the neighbourhood from Knosos. Strange but nice to meet another Dutch spotter here (hello Frank Kramer!)

While waiting for taxi clearance the Greek Hercules came in (my first B model…:-)) After this we took off in PH-HZE B737-800 from Transavia as “HV910” which brought us back home.
