Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Vienna 17-08-08

Post by Marco »

the day after Kecskemet and a broken night (had to change battery's in the load station) of 5 hours sleep, I visited Vienna the entire Sunday.

Runway use was a bit hard to cover in the ealry morning. Inbound started on 29, then switched to 34, then when the sun almost made me change spot they switched to inbound 16, outbound 29. Peak was inbound 16 + 11 and outbound on 16.

This last combination resulted in an aborted take of of an Austrian A320 about the go to full throttle as a KD Avia on short final had to go around overhead the A320. Nice to see and hear this.

Below are the results of a day at Vienna. Too bad that it was China Airlines day and not Eva Air. Evenmore terrible it was as I had this China Airlines A330 seen on a previous trip.

Sometimes I forget how enormous the tail of the 737-600 is compared to the size of the fuselage, but the Austrian colors really make it stand out.

Nice shots
