Taken last week during my holiday in South Africa (Very first time in my 22 years of spotting to see a Lightning in the air; I was as happy as a puppy 8) :

Lovely and what a great city! Do you have some shots of the Hueys in Cape Town? I did a low level flight in the ZU-CVC....what an experience!

Never flown in a heli myself, must have been quite an experience!

We tried to visit the executive heli company twice. The first time we were immediately cut off and sent off after saying "hello, we'd like..." by a very rude pilot (all other workers in the building were looking at us uneasily like they were sorry but couldn't do anything about it). Two days later we made a proper appointment by phone (we'd found out a name of one of the technicians there, so asked for him). But all except one employee were gone when we arrived... That guy had no key to the hangar and thus only showed us the helicopters through the windows of the hangar. So...unfortunately no photos... (just a stupid shot of the two Super Frelons in the back of the hangar...)

Wonderful country, had the best holiday ever. But it's a country of extremes, in many ways.

Regards,

Stephan
