This morning KLM's non-stop service Paramaribo - Amsterdam is stopping in Cayenne - capital of French Guyana - on the return flight.
Does anyone know the reason, my guess is supporting Air France's operation CDG-CAY-CDG or a special space contract for European Space Agency in Noordwijk.

Don't know the reason but Surinam Airways did the same on Friday..maybe some fuel or runway restriction??
found following notam for PBM which mght be the answer:
FUEL NOT AVAILABLE FOR NON-SHEDULED FLIGHTS. 01 OCT 20:27 2008 UNTIL 06 OCT 23:59
2008. CREATED: 01 OCT 20:31 2008
Eventhough KLM and PY r schduled flight there seems to be a fuel shortage
Niets maar dan ook niets is zeker in de luchtvaart
