Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Went to Frankfurt for the first time and I really enjoy it. Here some highlights.

Great pics Barcajax.

But what´s up with the Vietnam 777´s? In every Frankfurt phototopic posted here, you see them being towed from one place to another. Do they ever fly???

They do !

Although FRA is heavy-heaven, there is a lack of good photo-spots like here at Amsterdam. The only good spot is near highway 5 ( also spot 5 on the scramble guide ) , there were all these pictures taken.

Let me tell you a little story about this.
The same thing happens on Schiphol with the Cathay sometimes the China Airlines and the Malaysian.

The aircrafts came in early in the morning, after it's unload on the gate they towed away to a " buffer " like on Schiphol the Y or J or E ramp.
This is for the next one who needs the gate.

just 2 hours before departure they towed it back to a gate and that's why you see the Vietnam on Frankfurt passing by with a towtruck in front of it.
