Sevilla-San Pablo (LEZL/SVQ) - 2008

Post by Starman »

Noted Friday lunchtime 06Nov:
Casa 295 flight line: 041 (primer, no marks noted), 042 16702 Port. AF, 044 T.21.?? EdeA, 046 T.21.?? "SAR" marks, test flight, 051 021 Polish AF
plus 2306 c/n 175 CASA 235/HC-144A USCG.
Next to these, ie at the end of the C.212 storage line (no changes to the 7 noted in August) was TR.12B.78/37-62.
On the far side an Airbus 400M (real, wooden?) was being moved out and in of the hangar. An SAR F-27 was parked next to the stored C.212 on that side. As usual, any help with missing codes/serials etc!

A few corrections to your report,

C-295s:
041 will be Portugal 16701
044 is not a T.21 but flies as 020 in Poland
046 is Spain T.21-13, and is normal grey!
051 is indeed Poland 021 and is test flying since 9.08.

The 044 and 046 you saw are CN-235s and not C-295s I feel.

044 don't it's current status
046 is EdA T.19B-10 and is in conversion to CN-235-100VIGMA, and will get D.4-0x serial (assumed D.4-03) and a gr/ye SAR c/s!

Some one any idea about C-295 048 customer/id? Not see any sighting on this one yet.

Regards,

Rik

Thanks Rik,

I am sure you are right, I paid more attention to what I thought were the con nos than to the a/c itself. 044 & 046 were 100% Spanish, funny, I thought they were T.19... but dismissed that as haze/old age! 046 was "normal" ie dark grey, but had "SAR" in bold on the nose, and various bumps which don't belong on the basic a/c.

Is it possible to post the serials of the C.212 storage line here?

The "full" storage line on Friday 7th (note corerct date) was, from right to left as viewed from the super little cafe on the EADS road was:
TR12B-78/37.62
T12B-52/46.35
T12B-23/72.01
T12B-48/37.11
T12B-53/45.36
T12B-18/46.31
T12B-46/74.76
T12C-59/37.51 (sorry, much of the "detail" taken from earlier lists)

Amongst the CASA sheds was T12C-60/37.52, and preserved in their car park is T-33A E15-54/46.41, whilst the RF-4C is CR.12-51/12.60. A burnt CASA 207 fuselage (TR.7-5/403-02 once upon a time) sits forlornly by the fence.
The Fokker may only have been visiting as it was on the A400M side of the field near C.212 T12B-10/74-85.
If anyone is interested, the first "Tranche2" Eurofighter Typhoon was delivered to BA Moron last week, it is C.16-31/11.11.

Anyone have any idea why the USAF B737 05-0730 was at SVQ this morning?! I was quite surprised to see this this morning!
