It will be stationed in the UAE for 2 years to support Dutch troops currently active in Afghanistan. It will fly to Kandahar from Minhad Air Force Base. Also known as "Camp Mirage" this base is used by RNLAF (K)DC-10 aircraft to bring people from and to Eindhoven Air Force Base in the Netherlands. These large tankers lack self protection systems and therefore using them above Afghanistan is a bit tricky.SilverWingPix wrote:Whats it going to the UAE for?
