Terrible news!

(but now the million dollar question; who took the pic of the French F-1 @ KB, which the Telegraaf (without a doubt) ripped off internet without knowledge of the photographer?)

Reply @ myself...when I search for pics of 'Mirage F-1' with Google the pic is the third which comes up. I guess http://www.zap16.com/mil%20fact/Dassaul ... e%20F1.htm is the winner.

Dutch:
Het contact met de twee Mirage F1, waarvan één met een dubbele piloot en de andere met een enkele werd opeens verbroken.

English:
The contact with the Mirage F1's, One with single pilot and one with double pilot, was cut-off suddenly

it's terrible news, :S... but somehow they can turn it into a practical joke :S

Hi,

Terrible news.
The short story on Telegraaf-newspaper website is a bit strange translated...

Het gaat om drie piloten van het leger. Volgens het Spaanse ministerie van defensie stortten twee legervliegtuigen neer tijdens een lesvlucht in Andalusië.
Three pilots are serving the Air force(Ejercito del Aire) not the Army and also written Army-planes which is normally mentioned as jetfighters.......
So the crashed Mirage F1s should be one F1M and one F1BM example?!

Maurits

Hi all,

Yes, they was one F-1M (C.14-40) and one F-1BM (CE.14-31).

Terrible loss of life

Found a photo in my collection of the unfortunate Mirage F1M which participated in TLP 2000-3. It was present at Florennes from 05-05-2000 when it arrived as "AME1401B" until 26-05-2000 when it departed. (credit: FAS.be)
