DE COCKSDORP - Een sportvliegtuig is vlak voor de landing op het vliegveld De Cocksdorp neergestort. De piloot kwam daarbij om het leven.

Laatste nieuws: 12:17 uur
Vanmorgen om 09.11 uur is de N70889, een Piper J3C-65 uit 1946, bij de landing gecrasht. Het toestel is terecht gekomen net noordwest aan het begin van baan 22. De enige inzittende is gewond afgevoerd met de traumaheli (Lifeliner 1) naar het VU in Amsterdam en maakt het naar omstandigheden redelijk. De luchtvaartpolitie en onderzoeksraad hebben het ongeval in onderzoek.
Texel Airport was tijdens de hulpverlening gesloten, maar is vanaf 12.00 uur lokale tijd weer geopend voor het vliegverkeer.

We had 3 visitors for the 5th Texel Taildragger & Old Timer Fly-in: N195JR, PH-3P2 and PH-4B4.
Due to the weather a lot of cancellations, but tomorrow (Saturday the 16th) we hope to see most of them.
