Thats not fun only at Friday!
Just for the sake of respect for those who organise our air show(s): Those respected men (and women?) do all they can to organise an attractive air show / day for ALL spectators (meaning not only spotters). They have shown in the past to be able to attract the best of the best.

Can we please have an unspoken rule that we will refrain from any negative comment this year towards the organisation. Even the worst mistake can be put politely and the ´Bureau open dagen` is known for its willingness to learn.

Comments like above can easily lead to annoyance.

I guess we should be happy with three RAF displays anyway in these times, when the RAF is pulling out of a lot of airshows, also in the UK. So, great job to BAD for achieving this. Flying participants from the RAF at the continent are very rare, as long as the UK is overstretching its armed forces in the deserts.

Also the RAF Hawk display only at the friday.

Due to the Kemble Air show.
I'll be there both days, now to have good weather on friday. Great displays!!

The last flying Vulcan at Volkel!!!! Well done Buro Air Display.
As the Vulcan to the Sky organisation is at least for this year financially able to perform at Airshows this is a great opportunity for a lot of enthusiasts to have a chance to see this mighty delta. And yes the aircraft can have a technical problem but at least it will not be a modern computer problem and they do have a good technical engineering and maintenance crew.

During last open house at Volkel there were some complaints about the static display and te traffic driving in front of the crowd, making a hell of a noise on the metal plates they were driving on and the sound system that was far away from the fence, resulting in a lot of take off pictures with a speaker on it.

A Static complaint was the presence of calimeros (MP) in front of every aircraft.

Could somebody tell me if these problems will be part of the 2009 edition at Volkel?

Complaints will definately be a part of the 2009 edition. No doubt about that. Whether it will be the same complaints as last year is not entirely sure yet. I'm pretty much convinced that BAD will do their best to arrange different ones for us. I do suppose that suggestions will be most welcome however.

Marcel

A suggestion will be to put the speakers close to the fence in front of the static, in stead of putting the speakers behind the aircraft parked. Maybe an extra entrance for the VIP's (close to their tent) woudl be a possibility as well. For the calimero's I do not ahve a sollution, as I do not know the policy about this / requirements from the aircraft visiting.
