Our first stop in Switzerland on a 3 day trip. A very quiet Emmen at lunchtime. Only one EC635 could be seen on the field.

@mazzel
Emmen was quiet because this airfield is closed for every aircraft (since 15 June)! It is a wonder that you even see something...

On monday 27th (afternoon) I saw 5 landings and 2 departures of hornets. Following Hornets were fly on this afternoon: J-5005/5008/5015/5016/5020
There was also a few tigers activities. I saw 12 landings and 4 departures.
J-3030/3041/3072/3084/3085/3090/3091 ( 3 PS-Tigers are missing)

One day later I saw a 5-Ship Formation of Pc-21 (I think they came from Belgium).

@Rabbit
We have no heatwaves in Switzerland in these days but rain and windy weather...
If you was there today, it could be the Pc-6 V-633 or V-613. This weak there were several tiger and Pc-21 sorties at Emmen Airbase.

Anyway the airshow 100 Jahre Luftfahrt 1910-2010 that is going take place in July 2010 will be organised for about 40'000-50'000 visitors. It could be interesting.....

Hi all,

coming from Bouchs, we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon at Emmen. Seen on 08-10-2009 were:

A-101 PC21
A-105 PC21
A-937 PC-7
HB-FOG PC12 Armasuisse
J-3086 F-5E Patrouille Suisse
J-3092 F-5E
J-5002 F/A-18C
J-5014 F/A-18C
N1222N Stearman (fly over)
T-729 B19D
V-612 PC-6
V-618 PC-6

A white PC-12 buzzed the field, but was not read. 3 Tigers also flew over the field, but were too high to read. The same goes for a Super Puma/Cougar which practised some approaches to the field.
