REQ: Info on spotting in Cyprus

Just a thought for planning the upcoming holiday season: anyone with info on spotting (im)possibilities (civil/mil) at Paphos/Larnaca/Akrotiri?

Last year I tried to find a cab to bring me from the city-centre to the airport, but they asked so much money that I didn't go!

Sorry I can't help...

Was there last year. From the civil terminal it is too far to read the Mi-35's.
But you can get very close on the other side, but be carefull !!
Even from a close distance the Mi-35's are hard to read. (black on black).

The airfield with the Gazelle's and Bell 206's are much easier.

On leaving Cyprus, during dusk noted the following aircraft:

1x CC 150 Polaris (02) & 1x Globemaster (703), both Canadian;
Several unmarked (probably) US aircraft (White with a red horizontal striping).
All parked on the civil part of the airfield.

On the military part one of the shelters was open and empty.

Greetz,
Lex
