Miami in May

Post by SilverWingPix »

Hello,

I went to the US in may and did some spotting in, among other places, Miami. What a great place! Unfortunatly I had to deal with very hot conditions (alot of heat haze) and very hard light (almost from directly above) - next visit will be during the winter.

The funniest thing happend. I had bough a TomTom GPS in New York and before heading south I had set it up with the 3D mode and chosen myself to be diaplayed as a small blue VW Beelte-thingie:

I couldnt belive my eyes when I picked up my rental car i MIA. Yes U guessed it - a blue VW Beetle  :D A 2,5L benzin-engine with alot of torque. What a fun ride 8)

Well, on with the show. I mostly spend time next to RWY09 approach as this runway is the most used for landing, in particular everything from the southern destinations:

I´ll let the rest speak for themselves. Everything here is pretty much standard for MIA. I´ll keep this post Arty-Farty free and post those shots later.

ENJOY - (in no particular order):

Very nice report and great picture selection . I like the Baby Avianca , too bad we don't see that one on the other side of the country. Hopefully some more picture will be posted since KMIA is a very interesting place , did you see the illusive SBA 767 ? 8)

Cheers

Here´s some more (the SBA 767 had not yet been delivered - they used an all white 757 (TF-FII)).

In no particular order (including heat-haze :? ):
