(REQ.) Aircraft overflying the port of Dubai 27/01/2010

Hello all,

for those interested;

on the 27th of January i saw Royal Australian Navy S-70 with code 83
overflying the port of Dubai.
So i'll guess there will be a RAN ship nearby.

The same day i saw Hercules 1217 from the UAE-AF overflying the port of Dubai.
I was not able to find this one in any database.
Any help on its background would be great.

found this on the web (Credit Len Dollenberg);

2009/11/13 ZS-JIY 4691 LOCKHEED L-382G-44K-30 Export UAE

Educated guess that 1217 might well be the above Herc.

Any comments on this.
