Post by Copter »

Right now flying around in the area around The Peel is a L-39. Probably because of a FAC/CAS exercises.

At this moment two Mirage F-1's are flying circles in the area near De Peel. Probably also because of the sam FAC/CAS exercise.

'FAF 7830' is on its way to De Peel again. Earlier this week they stayed at considerable altitude, so they didn't provide the spectacle hoped for by local spotters...

At this moment two F-16's are doing their thing in the sky around De Peel. Probably also because of the same FAC/CAS exercise.

By the way, sometimes they fly very low, very fast and loud (the F-16's where my wake-up call) !

De Peel 2010

Post by Buccaneer S.2B »

Good afternoon,

Sunday the 13th of June some stuff was noted at De Peel:

Gliders
PH-462 / DP1 wears Klu roundel at right hand side of fuselage
PH-556 / 6W
PH-1134 / ZES
PH-1143 / 6X
PH-1245 / DG6

Preserved
Main gate: complete Patriot unit and 3 unknown missiles
Dumped west side airbase: Nike missile (with KLu roundels) and Hawk missile
Behind eastern secondary gate: unknown missile
South-eastern area, between buildings: Northrop Shelduck, in red-white KLu c/s and preserved on a pole
Unfortunately the preserved MiG-21 can't be seen from outside...........

Any help with the serial of the Shelduck would be appreciated,

regards,
Remco
