Scramble 371 is out now!

Post by Melchior Timmers »

Hi all,

The April 2010 issue of Scramble has been released this week!

In this month's edition, we have special features about:

- Fokker 50 farewell
The 28th of March 2010 has been a sad day for turboprop aircraft lovers in The Netherlands now KLM cityhopper has stopped operations with its last turboprop aircraft, the Fokker 50. We have a brief history on its service within KLM Cityhopper and an overview of all Fokker 50's used by KLM.

- 527th TFTAS Agressors
The 70's saw the need of new tactical training because of big losses of US fighter-aircraft and its crew in the Vietnam war. One of the most remarkable decisions was the development of dedicated air-to-air training units. One of these units was the 527th TFTAS based at RAF Alconbury. Until 1988, the squadron used Northrop F-5Es and all 24 are sorted out in this month's issue.

- Puerto Rico
A trip was made to Puerto Rico where all active airfields and some wrecks and relics were visited. For those who have plans to visit this Caribbean island, we have made airfield guides of the three main airfields and an overview of all known preserved aircraft and helicopters that can be found here.

Our monthly returning topics:
-Movements and trips Netherlands, Belgium + Rest of the World, civil and military.
-The latest news, both civil and military.
-Updates on the world's aircraft fleets, civil and military.
-Aircraft mishaps in Dustpan and Brush.
-Wrecks & Relics.
-Warbirds.
-Scramble Intelligence Service.

Do not forget to download the Military Updates PDF at http://www.scramble.nl/members/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

WHY NOT SUBSCRIBE?
And be the first to know what is going on in the military and civil aviation
world and the airfield near you. Besides the monthly magazine, which
averages about 150 pages (based on 2009 average), you will have a deeper access to our on-line databases (which are regarded the most informative in the world), airfield guides and lots more on our website. You also get a discount on all our shop items. The magazine is in English, check out http://www.scramble.nl/mag.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for all the details and this issue could be on your doorstep very soon.
