Unfortunately the day starts with the crash of a Boeing 737-800 of Air India Express. The plane crashlanded in Southern India in the city of Mangalore, whilst on a flight from Dubai.

160 people to be feared dead

Rob that was the first thing on my mind this morning......on my way to Polderbaan..what a way to start the day.......

It overshot a runway while landing in southern India Saturday. Officials said 160 are confirmed dead, but about five or six people survived. At least 3 confirmed survivors ! Thank God !

RIP.........it hurts......after Afriqiyah, after Blue Wing.......let us hope we had ENOUGH now !!

Very sad indeed.

It seems to me that more and more modern ailiners are crashing.
Maybe it's just a wrinkle in my toughts but years ago it looked always old aircraft that crashed.

RIP to all these people who died.

The oldest 737 from Air India express is 4 years old, and this plane is VT-AXV, which makes it only 2 years old.
Quite strange to see such a new aircraft crash
