Question about the Polderbaan.

Post by Sowald »

Earlier this week I read something in De Telegraaf that the Haarlemmermeer gemeente is planning on shutting down some spottersplaatsen.
Does this mean that when i visit Holland again in September I am no longer able to take pictures like the ones below.
Don`t know if this is the correct part of the forum for my question, if not move it but please let me know where to.

I think this topic belongs in the tattle lounge or '' 't praethuys''.. But I'll give you an answer anyway!

The pictures you're showing us are indeed taken from the place that will be forbidden to park your car. It's not forbidden to spot there, you may still go there, but then by bike or alternative transportation as long as you dont park it on the roundabout or on the road

There are two more roundabouts on the west side of the Runway, and the crashgate on the north-end wich are also forbidden to park at.
(see map below for the locations of the three roundabouts and Crashgate).

But in the afternoons you can go to the official spotters place. Park your car there on the parking lot, and then walk the cycling lane / walkway along the Runway to your desired spot!

Hope this will help you out a little!
Kind regards, Jeffrey.
