Hi All,

I'm planning a spottertrip with a friend to ETAR. This gonna be my first time at Ramstein so I wonder if anybody here has some do's and don'ts for me regarding spotting at Ramstein.

Well with a good navigator you and the scramble aitrfieldguide, you should be able to have enough info.

I suggested you bring your id card or passport along ( yes, i know.... ) Keep the area clean. And park at a parkingplace, but not on anliegerfrei roads .

You should be able to enjoy yourself.

Hi there,

Could somebody please confirm whether spot no. 3 as indicated on http://www.scramble.nl/airports.php?icao=etar, so the afternoon side of rwy26 for summer evening landing shots - I presume after around 17h30 - is still accessible?

It is.
Nice place (in winter): one stays in the car and does not get cold (fast).
Not so in summer: one is cooked inside the car.
But do come to Ramstein as long as it lasts; its a great place to see moves and make pics .
