First USMC UC-12W delivered

Following roll-out on 18th May,the first of two UC-12W Huron airplanes was delivered to NAS Belle Chasse,LA on Tuesday,10th August.

Two extended range UC-12W are due for delivery to MCAS Iwakuni in September and October 2010.

A total of six UC-12W are on order.It is expected the USMC will exercise an option for another six of these airplanes.One of the second batch has been provisionally allocated to replace the current UC-12F at MCAS Futenma.

Further details of the deployment of the USMC UC-12W are available and update previously published information(this information was released on 16th September,2010),

H+HS Futenma,Okinawa(Japan)(ROTM),to replace it's current UC-12F(163558) with a UC-12W equipped with extended range tanks in January 2011.

H+HS Iwakuni,Japan (RJOI),to replace it's current UC-12F(163553 and 163559) with a UC-12W not equipped with long range tanks in September 2010,and onw equipped with long range tanks in December 2010.

H+HS Miramar,CA (KNKX),to replace it's UC-12F(163561) with a UC-12W not equipped with long range tanks in October 2010.

H+HS Yuma,AZ (KNYL),to replace it's UC-12B with UC-12F in calender year 2011.Yuma then transititions to 2 UC-12W from 01st July 2012.

H+HS New River,NC (KNCA),to replace it's 2 UC-12B with UC-12W commencing on 01st October 2012.

H+HS Beaufort,SC (KNBC),to replace it's UC-12B with a UC-12W from 01st October 2012.
