Kunsan (RKJK/KUZ) MIL 2010

Two cells of 6 x F-16C each (457FS & 93FS, Jest11-16 & Jest21-26) departed KNFW on 9 September for PHIK (Hickam) under Coronet West for Cycle 8 AEF 7/8, bound for Kunsan. Tankers for NFW-HIK were Rummy61 & Rummy71 (KC-10A 86-0035 305AMW). I believe this is first Reserve AEF deployment (as 457EFS) to Far East.

Does anybody know what unit they are relieving? The 7FS was at Kadena and 27FS at Andersen during AEF 5/6. Any confirmation of arrival at Kunsan (on 11th?) appreciated.

Checking the Kunsan base news online for the past 6 months,there appears not to have been a deployed unit at Kunsan AB since at least earlier in 2010.

The 391st EFS deployed here on 27th January,replacing the 389th EFS from Mountain Home AFB,ID.The release did not specify the proposed length of the deployment.This deployment should have consisted of 12 F-15E.
