REQ.: Ankum info

Post by Tim Jones »

Does anybody have contact details for the above location please?

It was due to open as a Museum, is it infact open?

I have a location but understand they are not spotter friendly.

Many thanks,

Tim.

Ankum is a private collection, not accesible for public as far as I know. I have been there some 10-12 years ago.
All aircraft are in a spottersproof hangar with a farm.
Photographs are not allowed.
The exact adress is not known nor an email adress.
I only know the owners name: G. Schulte

The owner of the Transall, which is displayed at Airfield Damme ( http://www.transall-damme.de ), is the Museum für Technik, Natur und Luftfahrt e.V., Am Kreuzplatz 4, 49577 Ankum. This Company http://www.schulte-handel.de/ is located at the same adress! So, I think this is "Schulte" you're looking for ...

Cheers!

Okay, I always thought that it was G. Schulte from address Brickwedde (Brickwedder Weg) 10, 49577 Ankum.
It was rumoured they had plans to start a museum at former Fliegerhorst Hopsten in the future.

I'm also interested in visiting this collection. Wonder if it is possible to get to know more about it.
Kind Regards / Groeten,
