Incident: US Airways A319 near Pittsburgh on Dec 6th 2010, dog bites

A US Airways Airbus A319-100, registration N838AW performing flight US-522 from Newark,NJ to Phoenix,AZ (USA) with 122 passengers,
was enroute at FL340 about 50nm northwest of Pittsburgh,PA when the crew decided to divert to Pittsburgh after a dog had bitten a flight attendant and a passenger.
The airplane landed safely in Pittsburgh about 25 minutes later. The flight attendant and passenger were treated for minor injuries at the airport.
The airplane continued after 80 minutes on the ground and reached Phoenix with a delay of 70 minutes.
The airline said, a passenger had brought a small dog aboard the aircraft in an approved pet carrier, however let the dog out during the flight although ordered not to.
After the dog bit two people the captain decided to divert to ensure everyone was okay. It is unclear whether charges will be filed against the pet owner.
