Military Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing

ONSLOW COUNTY -- An engine fire caused a military helicopter to make an emergency landing in a field in Onslow County.
Officials said the helicopter is from New River Air Station, but it's unknown what type of mission it was flying. The number of Marines on board has not been released, but there are no reports of injuries.
The engine blew and caught fire, officials said, and the aircraft had to land near 1258 Gould Road in Jacksonville in the vicinity of Pony Farm Road.
