Visited Cuba for work last week and ‘discovered’ this Caravelle III at ExpoCuba, couple of miles from Havana. The Expo itself is desolate and the aircraft is not in really good shape from the outside, but looks okay from the inside. It is now used as a café.
Aircraft involved is c/n 154, stored in Cuba since 1996 and flew as CN-CCY, SU-BBU, HI-499 and EL-AAS. Now painted in Cubana colours, but without vertical stabilizer, engines and large part of the wings. The last reg is also visible in the cockpit.
Some pice you might find interesting.
