Spotting @ Hamburg Finkenwerder+Fuhlsbüttel

Post by Thermal »

Will be in Hamburg on the 28th of may and was thinking of visiting Finkenwerder to catch some new Airbusses and possibly also go to Hanburg Fuhlsbüttel.

Already found some usefull info about Finkenwerder from Rutger330 in this topic but I was wondering if anyone can perhaps give some additional info on good spotting spots/oppertunities.

It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks T.

Hi again,

I still haven't told anything about one spot that's the spot after 17:00 for evening shots (where I made the Shenzen A320)

I know you saw those maps, but I made a map now for ALL spots around 'finky

here the complete map:

Image

some additional info:

Spot 1 = the spot at the little harbour, when RW23 is in use
Spot 2 = this spot will first take you to the main entrance of the airbus factory there is a little road to the left over there where you have a 'dijk' with seats etc.
Spot 3 = The main spot know around finky, with a higher point of view to get easily over the fence
Spot 4 = The evening spot, this is also the main entrance to the other side of the airport, there are little exit places on the right side of the road
that are heading into a farmers field but you are allowed to park there :)

about security:

HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY!! in those 2 days I was at finky

I checked the 28th of may, that's a saturday

'NORMALLY' in the weekend there are almost no flight movements but on weekdays it could be busy but it's also a matter of luck and knowing people that could provide info...

maybe it's best to go on the friday instead of saturday if that's possible maybe, cause I will give you a bigger garantuee you will see some nice things than on a saturday

Anyway Good luck with your trip...

if any questions you can always PM me :)
kind regards,

Wow! Top man. Will also be there on friday , thanks for the tip.
I already thought there were more spots then the one you mentioned in your other post.

Oh and untill what time do they usually fly on weekdays or does it continue through the evening?

Thanks a lot :worship:

Does anyone perhaps have some more info on good spotting locations at Fuhlsbüttel? Can not find a descent map anywhere on the Internet.

Thanks

This site used to have a very good map, but it is gone now. Maybe you can contact them for info:

You can still find it in Google cache :D
