Astra Wright BB

Post by Antheii »

Hi,

In the Musee de l'Air at Le Bourget, a 'Astra Wright model BB' (sometimes also known as a Model Bebe) is on display.

Up until now I always more or less assumed this was an 'ordinary' Model B, which was licence built by the French Astra company.

But thus far I have been unable to confirm this assumption, and when I compared the BB in the musee with other B's, there also seem to be a couple of differences between the two types.

Who knows on which Wright Model the BB was based on?
Or was it an own Astra design - but why was it then also named after Wright?

Regards,

Hans
