B-25 Russell's Raider

''More bad news for the warbird community: a B-25 Mitchell crashed today in France near Melun-Villaroche, south-east of Paris. Witnesses saw the airplane with an engine on fire entering a hard turn.

The bomber cut some electric cables before coming to rest in a field. The crew of two was able to exit the wreck. Emergency services were quickly on the scene to stop the ensuing fire.

The exact status of the crew and the extent of the damage to the aircraft are unknown. It appears the B-25 is F-AZZU, s/n 44-58811, which is well known in France due to its regular appearances at the La Ferté airshow''
