June 14: The Fighter Collection’s P-47G, 42-25068, G-CDVX, was rolled out this morning wearing its new paint scheme ready for the rest of the 2011 season.

It is now resplendent in the markings of 78th Fighter Group, 84th Fighter Squadron as flown by Lt Severino Calderon.

The repainting was carried out by a team from The Fighter Collection with the design and research work carried out by Martyn Coleman and Fred Mussard, with the painting of the aircraft in the hands of Rob Gauld-Galliers.

All were ably assisted by Kym Stazaker, Richard Crabtree, Roy Smith and Steve Tuffin.
