Spying at Camoflage School Reek - 25-07-2011

Post by r.e.hendriks »

Hi all,

This afternoon I had some spare time, so I went searching for the two F-84F's used by the Camoflage School in Reek.
Here some of the results of half an hour spying in Reek.

And on my way back home I stop at the Fitland in Mill to take a shot of this former GN Atlantic

Hope you like them...

For those interested here are some coordinates that may be helpful.

You can park the car at the following coordinate: 51.723426N 5.701343E which is the Graafsebaan. From this point you take the path into the forest to the North. Follow the fence until you reach the following coordinate: 51.726968N 5.706799E. This is the point where shots of both F-84F can be taken through the fence.

Best regards Rob.

Nice. I've camouflaged one of the F-84's myself when I was at Reek for camouflage training(more then 10 yrs ago, but I think it are still the same).

Nice to see these two. Even as Wesly I camouflaged both and take some experience in explosives. In may 1990 (time flies..) there were also two. At that time , I believe the P-224 and P-229 standing there. I had to look for sure. Perhaps the same a/c still standing.....

@Robert, its both still the same aircraft.

@LV84, I know about the other aircraft inside at Fitland, but saw those already a few years ago.
