Yugos relics

Taken on several occasions on RViPVO airports before and after the Balkan war.

The last two pictures have a particular history.While the car driven within krajina I stopped in a small country where in the gardens there were these two F84,but the inhabitants did not like very much my presence and cameras so after a few shots I had to run away quickly :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :lol: :lol:
The second to last picture you can read on the tip "Croatian Air Force" like saying that Croatia is a fly only ...relics :D :D :D

We have seen many pictures of the F84 wreck , but this a very rare photo of when they were operating!!!!!! :thumb: :thumb:

Nice pics, when where the first set taken? Any locations? Are they still there?

Hi Timm ,with pleasure:

The first in KRK island near the civil airport. Close the F84 there is also a T33 but unfortunately I have missing the slide.

2-3-4- In Zagreb Pleso

5 in Slovenia : Czerklie

6-7 I not remember the little country name: In a garden.... I remember not friendly people around me !!!!

8 airport Batajnica

... sorry if I not recall correctly after all these years!!

You mean 'country' as in Krajina, de small Serbian part of Croatia which was taken back/liberated/occupied (depends on which camp you are) by the Croatian army in July 1995? Were you there before summer '95? Must have been a fascinating journey...

Airfield is called Rijeka. By 2009 the T-33 was gone :-(

In Croatia:

71255 C-47 at Otocac
60206 Soko 522 wreck at Cakovec - Pribislavec
52105 UTVA 66H floatplane at Zagreb - Pleso
17130 MiG-21bis wreck at Karlovac - Turanj (war museum)

Croatian AF MiG-21bis 126 is also at Turanj.
