Strange message at EWAS states that the expected Il-76 will bring two Mil Mi-1 or Mi-18 helicopters..., civil/military combined... The Il-76 wil park civil apron. Yes, the type of heli confuses me as much as it does all of you, but I only quote what EWAS says...

Stephan

When looking at the pictures on the photo forum, it seems the Mi-8s wear 813 and 814 below the cockpit window.

Regards,
Not 814, but 804. They are former Czech Air Force Mi-17's 0813 (108M13) and 0804 (108M04). They have also recently operated under civil registry. They were unloaded from the Il-76 around noon. The landing gears were attached to both helos before being lowered on the tarmac by the Il-76's cargohold crane. They were towed across the civil apron by a tow truck and pushed into a small hangar in the northeast corner of the civil apron.

By the way, the Il-76 is departing now as 'VDA 6175'.
