1325LT: 'BAF 318', a formation of two A.109's, doing the talking with 132.350 Dutch Mil Info. No idea about their exact position, but it had to be somewhere in or around Noord Brabant, because I vagely received the crew's talk from my position in Eindhoven.

QRA Active

Post by Razor61 »

For the past 2 hours, RAF Typhoons have been shadowing Russian bombers in the North Sea from up near the Shetlands down into the south.
VC-10 Tansor 4ZO60 is refuelling the RAF jets.

Now, German F4s (HG01A/B) have been scrambled and are now squawking NATO QRA 1304/1305 to intercept the bombers.

Those in the Netherlands near Leeuwarden and in the north should now start searching for the Russian Air-airs...

where is Joost and Spine when you need them

German F4s have now been relieved of QRA and are switching to squawk their normal training.
Looks like the Bombers just skirted German Airspace.

It seems ARGUS08 is currently overhead the Netherlands at FL280... (Virtual Radar.) Should be 92-13122... Can't find him/her on a frequency, though?

You all missed the fun with the QRA today? Two Bears over the Northsea.
Funny thing was that they used another route, first Scotland then via the south to the east to continue north. Two Typhoons, one VC-10, one glider from Leeuwarden, two Phantoms from Wiittmund, aan two gliders from Skrydstrup.
Freqs in use: 335.975, 262.625, 309.625 and 363.100.

Were they active in the JOJO refeuling track?

regarding usage of 371.500, and routing of F-16's via Geilenkirchen into Belgium, I would say Yes...
