Modernized Il-476 Transport Assembled

Russia’s United Aircraft Corp. (UAC) has reported assembly of the first Il-476 flight prototype, a modernized version of the Ilyushin Il-76MD heavy transport aircraft.

The 1st 2 Il-476s are scheduled to be delivered by 2013 and Russian Air Force plans to purchase around 100 Il-476 heavy transport aircraft to replace aged Il-76s.
