To start the year:

Bombardier has announced that Swiss airline PrivatAir (PT/PTI) has signed an order for 5 CS100 aircraft, with options for an additional 5 CS100s.
The aircraft are planned to be delivered in an all-business configuration.

First Airbus order of the year:

Cathay Pacific (CX/CPA) has signed an agreement for an additional 6 A350-900s. This brings the total of type the airline has on order to 36.

And for Boeing:

Indian airline Jet Airways (9W/JAI) has announced that it is exercising existing options for 10 B737-800s, and also swapping an existing order for two B77Ws for another 7 B737-800s.

At the delivery ceremony for Saudi Arabian Airlines' first two B777-300ER, Boeing has announced the airline has ordered a further 8 B777-300ER.

Just for the sake of completeness:
Norwegian has ordered 100 Boeing 737 MAX8, 22 B737-800s and 100 A320NEOs.
They have also taken purchase rights on 100 737MAX8s and 50 A320NEOs.

Etihad Crystal Cargo has ordered 2 A330-200Fs. When delivered this will bring their fleet to four examples.

Avianca has signed a purchase agreement for 33 A320neo and 18 A320 aircraft. The order follows a MOU signed during the Le Bourget Air Show in Paris in June 2011.

Air Astana has placed orders for 15 new planes worth more than $1 billion in total. They have ordered six A320 aircraft from Airbus, four Boeing 767's and three Boeing 787's , as well as two Embraer 190 regional jets.

Air Namibia has ordered 2 A319 from Airbus.

Bombardier has disclosed the customer for 6 CRJ-900NGs plus five options. The airline is now known to be China Express Airlines.
The order was already made public last year, but the airline was undisclosed.

And according to Reuters Bombardier has won another order for 6 CRJ.1000 with 18 options. So far for an unidentified customer, although on A.net they speculate it is for Garuda.

Pakistan International Airlines announced a firm order for five 777-300ER airplanes. The order also includes purchase rights to for five additional 777-300ERs.
