Some nice exercise news I found on the internet.


The Final Planning Conference for the exercise MACE XIII was held on Feb, 13 -16 2012 at the Headquarters of the Air Force, the Armed Forces in Zvolen. COL Igor Brandabura concluded the conference with the final remarks summarizing their four-days work.
More than 60 participants have brought many requirements on the table which had to be re-solved. Representatives had been divided into several groups in order to make survey of airbase and GBAD facilities. There were a lot of consultations and negotiations between pre-selected working groups during the conference .
Finally, all participants successfully finished their work and left with hope seeing each other during the execution phase. Slovakia is going to host 12 countries in April 2012. The exercise will be supported by F-16s from Denmark, Rafales and Mirages from France, F-4s from Turkey, Learjet from Germany, DA-20 from Norway and Fulcrums and Albatrosses from host nation. C2 will be conducted by CRC in Zvolen and AWACS from NATO/France as well.

V dňoch 21. – 25. 2 . 2011 sa uskutočnila vo veliteľstve VzS OS SR Zvolen záverečná plánovacia konferencia k cvičeniu MACE XIII 2011.
Cvičenie MACE XIII sa uskutoční v termíne 4. - 15. 4. 2011, počas ktorého bude z E3A vykonávané riadenie, velenie, koordinácia, navádzanie lietadiel a výmena informácií o vzdušnej situácii. Plnenie úloh počas cvičenia bude zamerané na precvičovanie vzdušných bojov, ničenie pozemných cieľov, prekonávanie protivzdušnej obrany, rušenie prostriedkov protivzdušnej obrany, výcvik v podmienkach elektronického boja (rušenie palubných RL a rušenie vzájomnej komunikácie) a výcvik operátorov pozemných PVO systémov v prostredí elektronického rušenia.
Letecká technika E-3A AWACS (NATO), 2 x F/A-18F Hornet (USA), 2 x F/A-18G Hornet (USA), ECR Tornado (SRN), DA-20 (Nórsko), Eurofighter Typhoon (Veľká Británia), 2 x MiG-29 (VzS OS SR), 2 x L-39 (VzS OS SR), ktorá sa zúčastní cvičenia bude pôsobiť z letiska Sliač. Prostriedky PVO spolu s prostriedkami rušenia, ktoré budú zapojené do cvičenia budú rozmiestnené v priestore Kolíňanský vrch.
